Back pain is the most common reason people seek medical attention. It is the leading cause of disability worldwide and can range from sharp pain to limited mobility. We do not diagnosis you unless we can see you in person to examine the cause of the pain. Follow up examinations can often require X-rays, MRIs, EMGs and physiotherapy.

parkinsons alzheimers neurogenerative disease

Neurodegenerative diseases

We treat a number of neurodegernative disorders including Parkinson’s disease, Lewy body dementia, and Alzheimers dementia. These most commonly occur in older individuals, although rarely can be seen under 65 yrs. The most common symptoms are short term memory problem, hallucinations, and balance problems.

Neuromuscular disorders

We have expertise in treating neuromuscular disorders, which include diseases that affect the peripheral nervous system, muscle disorders and neuromuscular junction disorders. The peripheral nervous system consists of all the motor and sensory nerves. Dysfuntion of these nerves is very common in patients with diabetes, alcoholism, lymes disease, autoimmune conditions and chemotherapy.

Muscle disorders can be genetic or acquired, usually in people using statins, excessive alcohol usage, and steroids.

Neuromuscular junction disorders are relatively rare and manifest through autoimmune issues.
