Appointments and Cancellations We know your time is valuable and we diligently try to stay on schedule. On some occasions, emergencies do occur and appointment schedules may be altered. We will inform you as soon as possible should this happen. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give our office 24-hours notice, as we have a long waiting list and wish to accommodate everyone as fairly as we possibly can.
Referrals:
Films, Reports, Medications: If you take any medications, please bring your pill bottles with you. Please check with your primary care physician and make sure that you have these items with you on your first visit to our practice. The neurologists from our practice may not be able to answer your questions if you do not bring the appropriate films and reports when you come for your visit.
Payment:
Insurance: If you have a question as to whether our physicians participate with your plan, please call your insurer. It is the patient's responsibility to know their insurance contract and to follow-up on denied or delinquent claims. Your co-payment and/or coinsurance is due at the time of service.
No-Fault Insurance Requirements: Please call the office if you have a problem with your medication. If you need a renewal of your current prescription, please call at least three business days in advance of running out of the medicine. We have an automated refill line to speed your refill, including triplicates and 90 day refills. Dial our direct automated refill line at 518.533.1561. You will need to know the name of the prescription, strength, and dosage as well as the pharmacy name and telephone number before calling. You can call in your prescription renewal request any time, 7 days a week. Prescriptions will be filled by the next business day. No pain or headache medications will be prescribed at nights or on weekends. If you are in sufficient pain that you need medication, then you will need to go to the emergency room to be evaluated.
